Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Introduction

Zen Layer is built around a simple idea: a calm audio experience should respect your calm. This policy explains, in plain language, what information the app handles — and what it deliberately does not.

Information We Collect

None. Zen Layer does not require account creation, does not ask for personal information, and does not collect identifiers, location, contacts, or usage analytics. There is no server-side profile of you because there is no profile.

Local Device Storage

To remember your settings between sessions, Zen Layer stores a small amount of data on your device, such as:

  • Audio and mix preferences (your saved ZenMixes)
  • Volume levels and timer defaults
  • Theme selection

This data never leaves your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it permanently.

Purchases and Billing

Any in-app purchases are securely handled by Google Play Billing. Zen Layer never sees or stores your payment details. Purchase processing is governed by Google's privacy policy and terms.

Third-Party Services

Zen Layer does not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics, crash-reporting SDKs, or social media integrations. The only external service involved is Google Play Billing, and only when you initiate a purchase.

Children's Privacy

Zen Layer does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Because no personal data is collected at all, the app is safe to use by users of any age, subject to the Google Play store's own age guidelines.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Because the app collects no personal data, changes are expected to be infrequent and minor.
